What’s the first thing I do when I find a new cross stitch project to begin?
I wind my floss onto bobbins. If I don’t I feel dread when I’m working on the project because I know I will have to stop to wind my bobbins. As a ritual to stave off the dread, I begin every project by winding the new colors that I don’t already have onto new bobbins. It is easy to do while I’m watching TV, and I don’t have to think about all that unwound floss coming my way while I’m stitching.
